An innovative middle school needed to expand its facilities. Mannington Commercial’s complete portfolio of flooring solutions ensured optimal design and performance in the many functional spaces of the school—classrooms, dining areas, hallways, bookstores, locker rooms and more.
Challenge
The Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta, GA, is a one-of-a-kind middle school. Bringing 5th through 8th graders together with dynamic teachers and innovative instruction, RCA creates a vibrant and imaginative learning environment—as well as a platform for teacher instruction, through its educator training program. In order to provide professional development to even more educators, the school’s founders knew that they needed to expand their facilities.
Solution
RCA drew confidence from Mannington’s ability to deliver both hard and soft surfaces for the entire campus, with all proudcts performing to the highest standards—including modular carpet, LVT, rubber tile, stairway systems, engineered hardwood and wall base. The design team even collaborated with a group of 7th graders to create custom carpet patterns for classrooms. As safety and performance were also high priorities, the flooring provides slip-resistance while resisting the wear and tear of hundreds of footsteps every day.
