The Spin Collection was born when our designer visited United Records, the largest record maker in the U.S., to understand the craft by which sound becomes a tangible object.
She found science blended with art, from the chatter marks of DJ scratch records to marbling techniques where no two records have the same color. From her experience came patterns for designers to create visual, textural music in their spaces.
Spin’s modular plank and tile explore the vast aesthetic and texture of the grooves, scratches and curves that give music its form in vinyl. The colorways impart subdued sophistication to the movement of the patterns and include complex blends of neutrals as well as subtle accent colors.
