Mannington Select Reinvigorates Wood-Look LVT with New Species and Colors

With new visuals in wood, stone, and abstract patterns, Mannington Select LVT is a major launch, bringing a tremendous selection of pattern options, a broader range of colors, and a compelling color coordination story across product categories.  All of this is then combined into a new premium construction elevating Mannington Select to the pinnacle of the Mannington Commercial LVT product offering.

The collection update started with a color update to existing wood patterns, including Chatham Oak, Princeton Cherry, Barnwood Plank, and Mountain Pine—then extended to add key neutrals. The design team then added new wood species such as a stylish and modern Maple, a dark antique Walnut, a distinguished classical Walnut, and an Oak option with softer graining that is available in less traditional, more neutral colors.

The resulting wood offering brings more options to traditional clients, as well as choices that are informed by today’s trends—rustic looks as well as clean and modern aesthetics.

Mannington Select’s stone and abstract products also underwent a major overhaul. New stone visuals include a fine-grained, foliated Slate that has a layer of pearl ink in the print to give depth. Sandstone features a soft grain combined with a gritty visual texture. Among the abstracts, Dissolve is a linear option while Suber is non-directional, and Hybrid mixes a linear look with metallic abstracts to create lovely color play.

Select includes patent-pending Quantum Guard(R) Elite multi-layered protection, engineered for best in class dimensional stability, advanced stain resistance, superior impact resistance, clean cutting during installation and with the highest scratch resistance in the industry. Its easy, no-polish maintenance significantly reduces overall life cycle cost and total cost of ownership.

The products are certified under FloorScore, approved as CHPS 01350 compliant, and recognized in LEED. Mannington Select LVT is manufactured in an ISO 9001 and 14001 registered manufacturing facility. Mannington Select warranties have been enhanced because of the new performance related features.  Those new warranties include a Limited 15 Year Commercial Warranty and Limited 15 Year Quantum Guard® Elite Warranty apply.

Experience the Spirit of the Oregon Wilds with Mannington Commercial’s Portland Project LVT

Mannington Commercial has launched The Portland Project, a new LVT collection inspired by the rugged beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

The variety of styles within The Portland Project allows for interpretation in innovative design compositions: designers can conceptualize and realize their own personal vision for a space, whether a bold combination of colors and patterns or subtle understatement.

The collection began with a road trip to Oregon. The design team immersed themselves in the region, exploring the rugged coastline and trekking through mountains and forests. The spirit of the trip is captured in the collection’s four unique styles: two coordinating abstract patterns and two wood grains, all offered in 6”x48” planks.

Visually, the styles harken to Oregon’s secluded ridgelines and trail heads, represented as sharp liner movements and layered striations of color in the collection. Patterns mix large and small scale, and hues range from richly saturated to neutral, coastal-inspired grays and browns. The designers’ thoughtful approach to classic and emerging color trends — combined with the flexibility and durability of LVT — makes the collection perfect for corporate, retail, higher education and hospitality projects.

The Portland Project LVT is made in Amtico 30 construction with a 30 mil wear layer, 2.5 mm overall thickness. It also includes patent-pending Quantum Guard(R) Elite multi-layered protection, engineered for best in class dimensional stability, advanced stain resistance, superior impact resistance, clean cutting during installation and with the highest scratch resistance in the industry. Its easy, no-polish maintenance significantly reduces overall life cycle cost and total cost of ownership. The product has a 15-year commercial warranty and a 15-year Quantum Guard Elite Wear warranty.

The collection is fully recyclable, Floor Score certified, and made in the USA.

Origami Collection by Mannington Commercial Wins Best of Year

Prestigious Interior Design Magazine award honors best product design of 2017

Mannington Commercial has won a Best of Year award for Product Design, from Interior Design magazine, for Origami Collection. An upscale three-pattern carpet collection, Origami explores and interprets the classic art of paper folding.

Designed by the Mannington Design Studio in collaboration with HOK Product Design, Origami’s patterns take inspiration from origami folds and are named in the same spirit: Mountain Fold, Valley Fold and Fan Fold. Soft lines strike a unique balance between geometric and organic, while scale and line weight play off one another, sculpting complexity out of simplicity and high design out of understatement.

Structured yet highly versatile, each pattern can stand alone or be matched with others to create dynamic looks and wayfinding layouts. The large- and medium-scale modular patterns abstractly reference folding techniques, while a medium-scale textural tile/broadloom coordinate offers a simple, elegant base for pattern interplay.

The collection’s 12 colorways are drawn from Antron Lumena yarns, creating a useful corporate palette of solid neutrals that address cool and warm grays in light, medium and dark, as well as lovely neutral and navy blue tones.

Mannington’s advanced tufting capabilities were used to create Origami’s upscale aesthetics, bringing modern luxury to any kind of commercial space — from corporate to higher education to hospitality.

Origami is fully recyclable via Mannington’s LOOP® program. Antron is an Environmentally Preferable Product; the modular tiles Mannington’s Infinity® Modular backing contains pre-consumer recycled content and is certified NSF/ANSI-140 Gold (an Environmental Product Declaration for the backing is available). Broadloom backings Ultrabac® and Integra HP® RE contain a minimum of 10% post-consumer recycled content by total product weight and are Certified NSF/ANSI-140 Platinum and CRI Green Label Plus. Origami is made in the USA, in Mannington’s ISO 14001 registered facilities.

Mannington Commercial has launched Color Anchor, a core collection of LVT, that brings cohesion and coordination across the company’s full portfolio of flooring products — which is the broadest in the industry.

The collection’s two patterns bring color cohesion, by enabling designers can blend fields of color or accent pieces, experiment with exuberant bolds and understated neutrals, or use color coordinate and unite products from across Mannington’s incredible portfolio of commercial products. Available in 20 colors, as 12×12” and 18×18” tiles, or 12×24” and 6×36” planks.

Color Anchor LVT is made with a 30 mil wear layer, 2.5 mm overall thickness. Mannington’s patented Quantum Guard®HP wear layer is the industry’s toughest—an aluminum oxide topcoat cured by an ultraviolet process, enhancing low-maintenance durability, cleanability, and slip-resistance. The product has a 15-year commercial warranty and a 15-year Quantam Guard HP Wear warranty.

The LVT collection builds off of Mannington’s 2016 launch of Color Anchor, a modular carpet system ranging from neutrals to brights, designed to unite patterns and colors across all Mannington running line products. Color Anchor carpet lets designers create the perfect monochromatic field with 24×24” tiles, add a pop of color with 18×36” planks, craft a distinct herringbone with 12×48” planks or combine multiple size formats to design a one-of-a-kind patchwork installation. The carpet collection is available in 30 color ways.  Color Anchor sheet is slated for a 2018 launch.

Mannington Commercial Launches Infused Collection LVT, A Mosaic of Color and Pattern

Mannington Commercial, a leader in flooring for commercial interiors, has launched the Infused Collection, a sophisticated mosaic of coordinating graphic LVT patterns.

The award-winning collection was created to be mixed and remixed, so that it matches the vision of any designer. Strong enough to stand alone, colors and designs also can be combined to make a bold statement for feature areas, or in tonal and sophisticated ways for quieter spaces. While applicable to any market segment, the Infused Collection is especially well-suited to retail, hospitality and corporate.

Infused was designed by ONEGlobal — a collaborative of principal-led design firms in 18 cities across the continent — and consists of five patterns: Bordado, Broad Street, Birds Eye, Hustle and Scratch That. Each pattern is available in 9”x9” and 2.5”x36” formats and emboldened with a subtle pearlescent sheen, giving tiles a refined yet striking character that subtly shimmers and shifts as you move across the room.

The five cities’ patterns are connected through line quality and shared colorways—a combination of brights and neutrals, infused with the bold and playful spirit of the vibrant cultures that inspired them.

Mannington and ONEGlobal won a Best of NeoCon Gold award and a HiP Award following NeoCon 2016 — a testament to the collection’s innovative design and modern interpretation of LVT.

Mannington Commercial Enjoys Another Successful NeoCon

Mannington Commercial kicked off NeoCon 2017 with the launch of six new hard and soft surface flooring products and a beautifully renovated new showroom, and enjoyed higher showroom traffic of visiting architects, interior designers, and other specifiers than ever before.

New products featured LVT and carpet designed by the in-house Mannington Design Studio, under the leadership of Roby Isaac, VP of Commercial Design, as well as collaborations with the Los Angeles and London-based HOK Product Design.

The Umbra Collection of LVT, winner of a Buildings magazine Innovation Award Grand Prize, was developed by Mannington’s UK-based Amtico design team. A breakthrough in LVT, Umbra uses analog photography techniques as inspiration and for pattern development, and is the only LVT manufactured with a continuous, non-repeating pattern that brings a light, soft and airy look to open spaces.

The Portland Project LVT is an extension of the Portland Project carpet collection launched last year, inspired by the experience of a road trip through the streets and wilds of Oregon. Linear striations fade in and out over an ombre wash of color, or are overlaid by a large-scale pattern, or create a mesmeric glimmer as people walk across the floor.

Color Anchor LVT is a collection of tiles and planks that brings color cohesion. Designers can blend fields of color or accent pieces, experiment with exuberant bolds and understated neutrals, or use color coordinate and unite products from across Mannington’s incredible portfolio of commercial products. Available in 12×12”, 18×18”, 12×24”, and 6×36” formats in two patterns.

The HOK Product Design collaborations were both carpet collections, which coordinate while meeting very different needs in interior environments. The Paper Collection brought home a #MetropolisLikes award from the magazine’s editors. Offering a luxury aesthetic at a price point for sensitive budgets, the collection’s 18×36” carpet planks range from quietly shaded patterns to lush, deep, pattern-forward patterns, all inspired by everyday interactions with paper — crumpling, creasing and tearing.

The companion collection, Origami, is 24 oz face weight, plush and luxe. The patterns are inspired by classic origami folds and include a companion textured broadloom. Soft lines create both organic and geometric feels, in neutral, cool, and warm grays as well as lovely saturated colors like navy blue.

Rounding out the product launches is Medina and Self-Assembly, two piece dye products that break expectations of what piece dye can doe, creating beautiful effects through a mix of textures from heavy to minimalist. Medina is a broadloom and modular collection inspired by ancient European cities and the effect of time on architecture. Self-Assembly uses a new yarn composition to incorporate tonal values and luster,  referencing knitting techniques as well as naturally occurring patterns-within-patterns, such as those found in our genetic code, exploring the ways that patterns interlace and interact in nature and man-made constructions.

This year’s showroom, a collaborative effort between Mannington’s designers and Atlanta-based Leap Communications, and featured paper craft by artist Christina Lihan, emphasizing the process of discovery and creation. Formally trained as an architect, Christina hand-cuts and sculpts paper into intricate architectural forms. Her recent work has been featured in the Flatiron Prow Artspace in New York and in the Jaffa Museum of Art in Tel Aviv.
