Across Mannington Mills, a family‑owned flooring manufacturer based in Salem, New Jersey, associates continue bringing Care, responsibility and community impact to life every day.

Sustainability has always been about more than environmental goals or annual reporting. It’s about our people, relationships and making the most of everyday decisions that help shape the communities where our company operates and our associates live. Across the entire organization, those efforts are guided by a shared set of values that continue to influence how Mannington Mills operates more than a century after it was founded – Care, Do the Right Thing, Control Our Own Destiny and Work Hard / Play Hard. Today, let’s focus on two of these values – Care and Work Hard / Play Hard.

As part of Mannington Mills, Amtico brings an important global dimension to this work. Based in Coventry, England, Amtico serves residential and commercial customers across the U.K. and Europe, and contributes to the company’s broader environmental and social responsibility efforts.

The 2024 Values in Action Report highlighted meaningful progress across environmental stewardship, associate wellbeing and community engagement – efforts that spanned both Mannington’s U.S. operations and its Amtico business in the U.K. But the work doesn’t stop there. In 2025 and into 2026, associates across the organization continue to pursue new ways to turn values into action, often through what one associate described as “lots of little pebbles that add up over time.”

CARE

At Mannington Mills, Care is about our people.

That commitment showed up in several ways throughout the past year, from leadership development and mental health awareness programs to improving worker safety year over year. Associates across the organization also dedicated thousands of hours to professional development and training, reinforcing Mannington Mills’ long-standing commitment to supporting career growth in place.

That same focus on associate wellbeing can also be seen across our global operations. At Amtico, associates shared feedback through Culture Days that helped shape a focus on feeling heard, informed, valued and belonging, while expanded wellbeing programs, including Mental Health First Aiders, continue strengthening support for teams.

Mannington Mills’ family-focused culture also continues to shape its approach to sustainability and community engagement. Through ongoing Family Council meetings, members of the Campbell family – the company’s founding family – remain closely connected to the business and its philanthropic priorities, helping ensure Mannington Mills’ principles carry forward through future generations, as they have for more than a century.

Helen Lumpkin and Zack Zehner Award_Cropped.jpgThis year, Helen Lumpkin, Manager, Strategic Account Customer Service, in Mannington Mills’ Calhoun office, was named the recipient of the inaugural 2026 Keith and Shirley Campbell Make a Difference Award, named after former Chairman Keith Campbell and his wife, Shirley, long‑time champions of selfless service and community involvement. The award recognizes associates who consistently do the right thing and make a positive impact in their communities without seeking recognition.

Lumpkin has become deeply involved in Mannington Mills’ Feeding America partnership and community outreach efforts. In recognition, Mannington Mills donated $5,000 to Feeding America and an additional $5,000 to the charitable organization of her choice, the Voluntary Action Center in Calhoun, where Lumpkin has spent her time volunteering. Her impact reflects a steady, compassionate style of leadership – one deeply rooted in service to others.

“I’m incredibly grateful to receive an award that reflects the character and values Keith and Shirley represent. Being chosen for something that honors the way they care with all their hearts is both humbling and an honor. I’m speechless to be recognized for simply doing what I love and enjoy.”

Care also continues showing up in smaller, everyday moments across the organization. Through scholarship programs and local volunteer initiatives, associates help strengthen access to education while continuing to support food banks, nonprofits, and organizations serving families in the communities where Mannington Mills operates.

WORK HARD / PLAY HARD

Community involvement continues to be one of the clearest expressions of Mannington Mills’ culture.

In the 2024 Report, we shared that Mannington Mills associates, Campbell family members and members of the Board of Directors contributed more than 1,000 volunteer hours and raised $150,000 to support the company’s partnership with Feeding America, helping provide 1.5 million meals through local food banks and hunger relief organizations. That same spirit of community involvement extends to Amtico as well. In the U.K., associates volunteered with Feeding Coventry, supporting a community “social supermarket” that provides affordable food and additional services to those who need it most.

That momentum has continued.

In Salem, New Jersey, groups of associates regularly volunteer at the local food bank, sorting donated food for neighbors in need. What has become a recurring monthly effort reflects the hands-on approach associates continue bringing to community service across all locations.

Mannington Mills also recently sponsored the 24th annual Art is Cool program that celebrates creativity and recognizes talented student artists in Salem County. The initiative has remained a meaningful tradition and exemplifies the intersection of the company’s belief in supporting education, creativity and local communities.

Beyond volunteerism and community partnerships, Mannington Mills continues investing in the culture and traditions that help associates feel connected to one another. Whether recognizing work service milestones, celebrating holidays or creating opportunities for teams to give back together, the company’s Work Hard / Play Hard mindset shapes the way associates engage inside and outside the workplace.

Across the business, teams also recognize associates for innovative thinking and their contributions. This includes the John B. Campbell Award at Mannington Mills that recognizes associates who best exemplify the company’s Core Values, and the Gino Fanti Award at Amtico that celebrates ideas that enhance the customer experience.

Looking Ahead

Blog_Priorities.jpgAs a family‑owned company, Mannington Mills approaches environmental and social responsibility not as a standalone strategy, but as a long‑term commitment shaped by the people who lead it and the communities it serves.

For Mannington Mills, this is not defined by a single initiative or moment in time. It’s built through consistent action – supporting associates, strengthening communities and building a business designed to last for generations.

As the company moves forward, its priorities remain steady. And through hundreds of small moments happening across the organization every day, those commitments continue creating lasting impact.
